How grievously I have felt thy absence, yet all hath proved most worthy. At long last, I have chanced upon that which multitudes have vainly sought. After much travail and a journey most protracted, I find my suspicions confirmed—the portal is no mere fancy, but verily real.

In a manner most strange and unforeseen hath it revealed itself, suspended above a house of victuals and drink in a quarter called Sherman Oaks, within the province of California. I do now believe I may command it, and bend its mysterious force to purposes that might be shared with all the world.

Should fate decree that I return not, take solace, dear heart, in the certainty that our paths shall shortly converge once more.
